Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery Magdi Yacoub on Sunday inaugurated the Mounir Armanious Research Center (MARC), the largest center specialized for pharmaceutical sciences in Egypt.
Yacoub said that the MARC would diagnose a variety of diseases and develop foreign pharmaceuticals, before working on the production of pharmaceuticals created entirely in Egypt.
Chairman of EVA Pharma Company and founder of the MARC Riad Armanios stated that the center joins 80 pharmacist and chemist researchers and aims to qualify new pharmaceutical research.
Director of the MARC Laila Gad clarified that the center contains the latest drug-making devices that help in composing various kinds of medications including tablets, capsules and plasters.
