An Interior Ministry official said that a student in Alexandria was killed Friday during clashes in al-Raml neighborhood.
The official added that Ehab Ahmed Selim, 16, was killed after sustaining injuries to the chest with bird shot.
The security forces separated the supporters and opponents to prevent escalation, according to the official.
Seven pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters were arrested against the backdrop of clashes, he added.
