Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, is seeking to strengthen the team during the next winter transfer window by trying to bring Egyptian international and Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah to the Los Blancos, the Spanish sports magazine Don Balón reported on its website.
The report said that Perez is planning to bring Salah, through the transfer of the Real striker Lucas Vazquez to the Reds, in addition to paying money to strike a deal to bring the Egyptian international in January.
Perez wants to add more scoring power to manager Zinedine Zidane’s squad and has made Real forward Lucas Vazquez available for sale as part of his plan to capture Salah’s signature, The Daily Mail also reported.
Real Madrid aren’t doing very well — they sit fourth in La Liga, trailing Barcelona by eight points and by eight goals. Inevitably they want to do something about this, and the something they want to do is buy everyone else’s best players, The Guardian said.
The Guardian article said that Real hope that Liverpool will accept a bundle of cash as well as Lucas Vázquez — the man who has taken England by storm since returning to its shores in the summer. But if that doesn’t work out they could sell the 26-year-old Spanish forward to Roma and return to Anfield with an even bigger bundle of cash.
