Request to annul Engineers Syndicate elections

Members of the "Engineers against Sequestration" group on Wednesday filed a lawsuit, requesting the annulment of Engineers Syndicate elections results for purported excesses committed by Muslim Brotherhood candidates.

Sources said the results were delayed due to disputes among elections supervisors over victories of Brotherhood candidates.

However, Mostafa al-Ghazawy, head of the elections supervising committee, said the delay was due to parliamentary elections which were taking place at the same time.
