Chancellor Magdi al-Garhy, vice president of the State Council, said the council’s legislation department would complete reviewing the presidency draft law that the president’s office had sent to it within a week at the most.
He told the “Egypt Everyday” program of Al-Mehwar 2 satellite channel on Monday that the legislation department has the right to amend or rephrase some articles of the draft law if necessary and send it to the competent authorities.
He explained that the new constitution commits legislative institutions to present draft laws to the State Council to review them.
