Rise in weather temperatures expected starting Sunday

Meteorologists expect a rise in temperatures starting Sunday, July 17, as the perceived temperature will record 37C during daylight hours in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt and to exceed 40C in the governorates of southern Upper Egypt.

Meteorologists announced high humidity during the day, which increases the sense of weather heat with values ​​ranging from 2C to 3C.

The average expected humidity in Greater Cairo is 80 percent during the night hours and 40 percent during the daylight hours.

Humidity will record 90 percent over the northern coastal governorates at night and 55 percent during the day.

Humidity rates will drop in the southern governorates of Upper Egypt, recording 25 percent at night and 15 percent during the day.

Active winds are predicted on the coasts of the Red and Mediterranean seas, which leads high waves ​​ranging between two to and 2.5 meters.

Meteorologists advised citizens not to be exposed to direct sunlight to prevent the feeling of high temperatures.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expected from Friday, July 15, to Wednesday, July 20, hot and humid weather to prevail during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt, and very hot weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

Mild humid weather is expected to prevail at night in all parts of the country.

Meteorologists warned against the formation of mist during the early hours of the morning until approximately 6 am, on the roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, Suez Canal cities, and highways close to water channels.

Meteorologists called on drivers to be careful and adhere to the prescribed speeds, in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other drivers.
