Sadat, Giza metro stops to be reopened Saturday

Sadat and Giza metro stops will be opened on Saturday, said sources from the Egyptian Company for the Operation and Management of the Cairo Metro.

This should spell relief to the some two million commuters who take the metro daily. The two metro stops had been shut since dispersal of Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda sit-ins in August.

However, some gates of the two stops will be closed for security reasons, the sources told Al-Masry Al-Youm on Thursday.

The company has been on high alert since revealing two bombs had been diffused near Helmeyet al-Zatoun stop on Thursday.

Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated forces called for civil disobedience on the Metro on Sunday, aimed at overloading stations with pro-Morsy protesters creating over-crowding and disruption. However, security confronted them.
