Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed al-Qattan met with presidential candidate Abdel Moneim Abouel Fotouh, according to a statement issued by the Saudi Embassy in Cairo on Monday.
Qattan said that Saudi Arabia is not biased toward any Egyptian presidential candidate.
During the meeting, Abouel Fotouh sent his greetings to Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and expressed his appreciation for the King’s position toward Egypt, the statement said.
“The Kingdom is only concerned for Egypt’s stability and security” and for it to return to its leading role in the Arab and Muslim world, Qattan said.
