Saudi national kills sisters in Giza

Cairo’s Giza district witnessed a massacre on Thursday when a Saudi national shot his two sisters in a row over land in Saudi Arabia. One sister was killed and the other wounded.

Mohamed el-Fohayed, 39, tried to escape after the shooting but was stopped by local residents who pelted him with stones as he attempted to escape, injuring him slightly. He was then taken to hospital.

The story did not end there, however, with the sisters’ cousin later stabbing el-Fohayed to death in the hospital after hearing the news.

Preliminary investigations revealed that el-Fohayed had arrived in Cairo two days ago to negotiate the sale of land in Saudi Arabia that he and his sisters had inherited from their father. El-Fohayed apparently shot his sisters for their refusal to sell the land.
