Saudi royal Allal al-Fassi has dropped charges leveled earlier this week against his brother-in-law Prince Turk and the latter's three sons in which he had accused them of killing his sister, Princess Hind.
He also dropped an earlier request that an autopsy be conducted.
Al-Fassi’s lawyer, meanwhile, clarified that his client had not been kidnapped as had been claimed earlier, noting that al-Fassi had left Egypt to perform a religious pilgrimage to Mecca.
According to sources familiar with the case, Turk has also dropped counter-charges made against al-Fassi.
Princess Hind al-Fassi, 52, died on Sunday in a hospital outside Cairo and was laid to rest at a funeral attended by relatives and the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Egypt.
