SCZone slams reports claiming it has borrowed LE19 billion

The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) in a statement on Tuesday slammed reports claiming it planned to borrow about LE19 billion over 13 years to complete port development projects, stressing that this is “completely untrue.”

The authority warned against spreading false information about its plan, stressing that it reserves its legal right against any individual or institution found spreading these claims.

It appealed to media professionals and journalists to communicate directly with the authority through official communication channels to verify the accuracy of any news related to it before publishing.
