Security forces in Beheira have arrested a large group of people planning to emigrate illegally to Italy, discovering the group as it gathered at a farm.
The group of 183 persons, including five Egyptians, was intercepted in a raid on Sunday as they prepared to make the illegal journey overseas.
The raid was arranged by Beheira Security Chief Mohamed Emad Eddin Samy after a notification from police in Abul Matameer.
Aside from the five Egyptians, those arrested were from Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Comoros and Bangladesh.
