Security measures tightened on buses: Governor

Giza governor Ali Abdel Rahman said security control has been restricted on public transportation buses. They will be checked getting into or out of the garages after a bus was burnt on Wednesday near al-Galaa Square in Dokki.

Reasons of the accident are being investigated, abdel Rahman told Al-Masry Al-Youm. He said that bags of gasoline that were left on the back seat above the motor are likely to be the reason due to the high temperature of the motor.

Ahmed Fouad, head of North Giza public transportation central department, said the bus was burnt as result of burning of bag filled with gasoline. Other bags were found in two other buses in Bulaq al-Dakroor and in Imbaba districts.

Instructions were given to conductors to check black bags with commuters.
