Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport received its first flights from the UK belonging to Easy jet, after a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The plane was received under a framework of coordination between the Civil Aviation and Tourism and Antiquities Ministries.
The airport administration organized a special reception for the Easy jet plane by spraying water on it, marking the celebration of the first landed flight from the British company.
The plane was received by airport director Nabil al-Mallah and the director of the Office of Tourism Authority in Sharm el-Sheikh Islam Nabil.
A public relations team received the passengers with flowers, provided all necessary facilities and expedited the completion of arrival procedures, with a commitment to applying all precautionary and preventive measures.
A team from the Tourism Authority distributed advertising materials and guide books on tourist destinations in Egypt, as well as instructions for applying precautionary measures in Egyptian hotels.
