The Cabinet offered its condolences over the death of six officers of border troops who were killed in attacks on Sunday in the New Valley governorate.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb said Egypt will not turn back and that the government will not be dissuaded by such crimes that harm the country and its economy.
The Cabinet added that the armed forces are determined to carry out their mission bravely to protect the country.
In related news, presidential-elect and former Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi offered his condolences over the death of the six officers.
“The brave armed forces soldiers sacrifice their souls for the sake of the country. These cowardly incidents will not influence their morale or prevent them carry out their holy mission to protect their country. They provide a unique example of sacrifice for Egypt and its great people,” Sisi said on Facebook.
