Sisi confirms Egypt continues efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and revive track towards two-state solution

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi confirmed in a meeting with the Executive Director of the World Food Program, Cindy McCain, that Egypt remains dedicated to achieving a ceasefire and reviving the political track towards a two-state solution establishing a Palestinian state in accordance with international references.

Sisi stressed Egypt’s deep concern about the continued deterioration of the humanitarian situation.

He went over the intensive efforts his country is making around the clock to ensure the entry of the largest possible amount of aid while continuing Egypt’s efforts with various regional and international parties to push towards a moratorium.

The meeting addressed regional issues, particularly developments in the Gaza Strip’s dire situation.

The Executive Director thanked Egypt for the pivotal leadership role it plays in providing support to the people of the Strip, whether through direct Egyptian support, coordination, and facilitating aid provided by international parties including the World Food Program and other relevant international organizations.
