Sisi discusses security dangers in Middle East during Core Group Meeting

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Sunday discussed security dangers facing the Middle East with the ministries of foreign affairs and chiefs of General Intelligence Services of several countries during the “Core Group Meeting” in October 26-28 in Cairo.

The Presidency’s Spokesperson Bassam Rady said that Sisi welcomed Egypt’s reception of the “Core Group Meeting” to enhance joint cooperation with Egypt, hoping that these discussions will present constructive proposals for current international and regional challenges.

Sisi asserted, according to Rady, that world countries must enhance international solidarity to face joint security dangers and reach radical solutions to the causes of instability, notably in the Middle East.

He stressed that Egypt implements the necessary efforts to support security and regional stability, thereby contributing to achieving the overall development of communities.

Radi noted that open dialogue was held between Sisi and the meeting’s attendants on several regional issues, including the situation in Libya, the Palestinian cause and Africa, discussing Egyptian efforts in supporting stability and development in Africa.

Sisi noted that Egypt carries out huge efforts for controlling the borders, preventing infiltration of terrorists across the borders and smuggling of arms.

Egypt receives a huge number of refugees and treats them according to all basic rights given to Egyptians, without requesting any external assistance, affirming that Egypt is ready to participate in all sincere efforts to maintain international peace and security and achieve sustainable development.
