Sisi meets with officials to discuss Egypt’s agriculture and Sinai development projects

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday met with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Assistant to President Sisi for National and Strategic Projects Sherif Ismail and Minister of Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Atty to discuss progress regarding the agriculture ministry’s projects and the Sinai Development Project.

Sisi called for more support to go towards the Fattening Veal Revival project, allowing for the participation of civil associations and utilize their effective communication network with smaller breeders.

The president also put forward achieving crop self-sufficiency as a strategic objective.

Sisi also met with several senior Egyptian officials to preview the situation of the Sinai Development Project, including land reclamation and cultivation, and discussed efforts to provide water resources and infrastructure to support these projects.

The president called for more support to the dairy collection centers system and to increase milk production.

He also discussed increasing farm capacities for more livestock and genetic improvement projects.
