President El-Sisi has directed the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces to quickly restore the tomb of Sheikh Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawy, Extra News Channel reported on Thursday.
A sudden malfunction at the sewage station in the Daqadous area, Mit Ghamr Center, Dakahlia Governorate, caused the flooding of Sheikh Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawy’s shrine and the cemetery area with sewage water.
Visitors to the shrine were surprised by the overflow of large quantities of sewage water, reaching a height of more than 5 cm.
Citizens and workers in the shrine began to remove it, but it returned again, threatening to flood the shrine completely.
