Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has delivered a message of friendship to Bahraini King Hamad bin Eissa al-Khalifa, urging ongoing bilateral co-operation in various fields.
Sisi's written message was delivered to Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed al-Khalifa as he was receiving Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Soha Ibrahim at his office, Bahrain news agency BNA reported.
Sisi emphasized the strong historical ties between the two peoples, while encouraging efforts to boost business and other links.
He also mentioned the importance of strong, friendly relations in light of ongoing regional tensions.
During their meeting, the foreign minister conveyed the king's greetings and good wishes to Cairo's ambassador. He also praised the strong ties between Egypt and Bahrain in all fields.
