As party venues around town get more creative with their entertainment and themes, Cairo Jazz Club–Egypt’s leading live band night spot and one of the oldest and most steadfast places to party in Cairo–is turning to charity. As part of an event to mix music and good will, Jazz Club has invited singer Paolo Palopoli and acoustic band SALAM to entertain party goers in the venue’s typical artsy-fun style.
The grand finale: DJ Masters @ Funk and percussionist Seif Khirfan–a dancey upbeat set for those who are really there to party.
Charities benefiting from the event include Voica World, a strong supporter of the Canossa Vocational and Canossa Social Centers. The Canossa Vocational Center focuses on adult education in everything from language and maternal care to IT training and hand crafts. Canossa’s social center acts as a three-year kindergarten for children of refugees and displaced persons from around Egypt. The Canossa Centers focuses on aiding residents of Helmyet al-Zeitoun, Arbaa Wa Nous and the surrounding areas of Maadi and Abbasya.
The event has been dubbed Solidarity of Sounds and donations to the aforementioned charities will be accepted at the event this evening at the Cairo Jazz Club in Mohandiseen.
