‘Spirit of Humanity’ photo contest, fostering sense of solidarity

Despite the war and strife spreading throughout the Middle East, many volunteers, humanitarian workers and kind souls have bound together to help those suffering under these circumstances. The World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) regional consultation for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is launching a photo contest to help capture this ‘Spirit of Humanity.’

The contest aims to demonstrate the power of human spirit through images, immortalizing precious moments reflecting solidarity through a camera lens.

The deadline of participation in the contest is on 15 February where rivals will compete for prestigious prizes. Additionally, over 30 inspiring photographs will be displayed at the WHS Middle East and North Africa Regional Consultation and published in a photo catalogue.

The contest is divided into two categories: mobile phone and digital camera.

“Be innovative and remember that no act of solidarity is too small, as together they build our collective humanity. They say pictures are worth a thousand words… so let them talk. Show us your picture,” reads the contest’s website.
