Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy launched the fifth edition of Pyramids Half Marathon, organized by TriFactory company for sports events in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The event is organized under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
As many as 4000 participants from 82 countries take part in the event.
The ministry aims at spreading sports and expanding the base of practicing sports for everybody, Sobhy said.
The event is held at the Pyramids area to activate tourism in Egypt and work on attracting tourists to visit Egypt, he said.
Sobhy asserted the support of the political leadership, especially for these incidents.
