‘Stabilization of Egyptian State’ program assigned to Public Media

Chairman of the National Media Authority Hussein Zain assigned the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) yesterday, with the task of creating new state programs. The initiative is titled ‘Stabilization of the Egyptian State’, and will focus on challenges and risks facing the Egyptian state.

According to a statement by state-run Egyptian Television, Zain stressed that the national media plays a key role in “strengthening the unity of Egyptians.”

At the end of the Fourth National Youth Conference Tuesday. President el-Sisi called out media outlets that create fear of a tumbling Egyptian state. The state is trying to address the reasons that lead to a ‘failed state’, Sisi noted, saying that national projects, such as the New Suez Canal, aim to raise the morale of the citizens.

In his speech Sisi hinted that, according to the political calculations made in 2011, the Egyptian State could have suffered worse situations than its neighboring countries.

In his speech to the media, Sisi said, “Egypt needs a good performance”, which could possibly take long time. He added that the Egyptian Army “has reached the current standard of quality through the grace of God,”and that they “do a lot of things for the Egyptian State,” which history will disclose once day.

“Facts have to be clear to the citizens, regarding the economic reform program,” Sisi underlined the importance of doing so, saying that the measures taken have been key for preserving the Egyptian State’s capabilities.
