After being pushed out of downtown, street vendors are now reportedly returning to area on Thursday after the police withdrew from the premises following the Foreign Ministry explosion.
The vendors had been moved to the Gateway Plaza in the Torgoman area forcibly, a place away from pedestrian traffic that they say the government failed to correctly market for them. The vendors also say authorities withdrew their selling licenses.
A source speaking on condition of anonymity said that the vendors are now bringing their families with them to downtown and are willing to clash with the police if need be.
