Nasr Eddin Badrawy, Secretary General of the the Parliamentary Elections High Commission, said he did not issue a decision to include adviser Omar Marwan, Secretary General of the 30 June fact-finding committee, to the General Secretariat of the Commission so far.
Talk about the existence of differences within the Secretariat caused Chancellor Medhat Idris, a spokesman for the Commission, to leave.
"Exaggerations that do not deserve a response," Badrawy told Al-Masry Al-Youm, pointing out that a decision to return Idris to the commission was released about three months ago.
The decision to open the door to candidates to nominate themselves will be issued within a few days, and Idris's walkout will not affect the work of the Commission, he said.
Marwan meanwhile said he was surprised, Monday morning, at the request adviser Ayman al-Abbas, President of the Cairo Court of Appeal, asking him to served as member of the Technical Office of the Cairo Court of Appeal. He denied he was notified to hold any position within the Parliamentary Elections High Commission.
Idris said his successor has not been selected yet but was anticipated to be announced during a day or two at most. He expressed his wishes for success of the Elections High Commission.
