Sudanese passenger awarded EgyptAir’s Platinum Card

EgyptAir’s regional headquarters in Khartoum celebrated a Sudanese passenger who was awarded the Platinum Card for traveling one million miles with the company on Monday.

Headquarters' director Ahmed Hefny said in remarks on Monday that Mahmoud Othman al-Tayyeb was the first recipient of the Platinum Card in Khartoum.

The card, according to Hefny, is valid for a lifetime and cannot be downgraded to the gold, silver or blue cards.

The passenger will obtain other advantages, including 40 percent more miles, as well as being promoted to business class for free. The winner also receives a higher luggage weight limit. Tayyeb and one companion will additionally enjoy access to the airport’s lounge.

The ceremony was attended by the Egyptian embassy’s media adviser to Sudan, Abdel Rahman Abdel Fattah Nassef, as well as team members from the Sudanese headquarters.
