The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has announced that Thursday marks the first day of summer astronomically.
The EMA expects a gradual increase in temperatures across the country, particularly in the northern regions and Greater Cairo, with highs ranging from two to three degrees Celsius.
In a statement on its official Facebook page the EMA predicted that Thursday’s weather will be extremely hot during the day across most parts of the country, with the exception of the north coast where it will slightly cooler.
At night, the weather will be warm to hot across most areas.
