Tagammu Party members protest inflated commodity prices

Dozens of Tagammu Party members on Saturday staged a protest in front of the Shura Council against price hikes on staple commodities.

The demonstrators urged the government to set price ceilings proportional to incomes, while clamoring anti-government chants and hoisting banners reading “Egypt in danger…how can we live if we buy tomatoes at LE10 and meat at LE70.”

They also demanded comprehensive health insurance reform and increased medical treatment appropriations.
