Prosecution has ordered the arrest and detention of a primary school teacher from Abshway village in Fayoum for four days pending investigations for cutting a lock of hair from a female student’s head.
The fifth grader was being punished by the religion teacher for not covering her hair.
The student’s family has filed a police report accusing the teacher of assaulting their child.
