The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects that from Sunday until Wednesday the country will see rapid fluctuations in weather conditions.
Temperatures will drop and there will be chances of moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by occasional intermittent thunder.
Starting from Monday, thunderstorms may occur in random areas of the northern parts of the country, with rain likely to extend to Tuesday and Wednesday intermittently.
These weather fluctuations coincide with wind gusts, the EMA added, heightening the cold especially at night.
Saturday’s weather
The weather will be moderately hot in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt, warm on the northern coasts and hot in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Night and the early morning will be cold in the north of the country to northern Upper Egypt, growing more pleasant in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Weather maps show limited wind activity in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai, and southern parts of the country.
Light rain may fall on areas of the northern coast, Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities.
