Temperatures across Egypt will begin to increase on Saturday, December 28 and continue growing warmer into next week, Director of the Analysis and Forecasting Department at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority Mahmoud Shaheen said on Wednesday.
During an interview with correspondent from the “Extra News” TV Channel Mohammed Abu Eita, Shaheen added that temperatures remain low across most of the Egyptian governorates, ranging from 18C to 19C during the day and growing cooler at night.
Winds are active in the Delta, Lower Egypt and Cairo, and may be accompanied by light rain, he noted.
“The temperatures are very low during the night hours, ranging between 12C to 13C, and the active winds increase our feeling the low temperatures,” Shaheen clarified, urging people to wear heavy winter clothes during the day and night hours.
Fog is set to hit Lower Egypt and Cairo on Saturday as well, with heavy rains predicted over the Red Sea and eastern coasts.
