The first deputy of the head of Libya’s National Transitional Council arrived in Cairo on Tuesday, accompanied by a delegation for a visit set to last several days.
Mostafa al-Hony and the Libyan delegation plan to discuss ways to secure the Egypt-Libya border to prevent Egyptian workers from crossing into Libya, and Libyans from smuggling weapons into Egypt, sources informed about the visit said.
The two sides plan to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation, the sources said.
Hony had met with the Tunisian defense minister on Monday to discuss ways to secure the Libya-Tunisia border.
