Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar concluded meetings with Philips Lighting Company’s CEO Enrico Dandola on Friday, after discussing the company’s future plans and investments in the Egyptian and African market.
During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Nassar held meetings with executive managers of major global companies, discussing expansion of their products in the African and Egyptian markets, the Ministry of Trade said in statement.
Dandola clarified that the company has set ambitious plan for increasing the company’s products to meet the needs of the Egyptian market, stating that the company would aim to obtain 15 percent of the market in the coming three years.
An Egyptian delegation headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly participated at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 22-25, holding meetings with the UK’s minister of international commerce Liam Fox, Swiss Minister of Economy and Research Guy Parmelin, and managers from Volvo and Philips.
