Transportation Minister Hany Dahy, along with heads of seaport authorities and maritime transport sector, will try to modify the contract of Ain Sokhna port, Damietta container terminal and future vision on ports and Suez Canal development.
The minister has also tackled allocating platforms to circulate coal and mulled requirements by Environment Minister to geographically distribute coal as per needs of ministries of electricity and industry required for cement manufacturing
The minister also reviewed developments with the contract of Damietta International Ports Company (DIPCO) and DP World. He is also considering studies on establishing cargo station in Safaga port to serve Upper Egypt and final studies on founding another container terminal in East Port Said port.
Dahy also indicated a study to turn Sharm al-Sheikh seaport into a tourist one and establishing fishing port in Tor city, South Sinai.
