The Court of Appeal has set 11 December as the date for the first trial of Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and his deputies, Khairat al-Shater and Rashad Bayoumi.
Other members of the beleaguered Islamist group will also be tried in the case.
The defendants stand accused of inciting the killing of peaceful demonstrators outside the group’s headquarters in Moqattam during the events of 30 June.
Defendants are also accused of possessing weapons and explosives for the purpose of terrorism.
Investigations allegedly revealed that the accused agreed in a secret meeting on 26 June 2013 to assign armed elements to protect the headquarters and fire on demonstrators.
Investigators also said that deposed President Mohamed Morsy told one Brotherhood leader that the Interior Ministry and the armed forces would not secure the building, forcing them to hire armed elements.
The defendants all denied the charges.
