The Giza Criminal Court on Saturday postponed the trial of former president Hosni Mubarak's sons, Alaa and Gamal, over charges of stock market-related corruption to December 20.
The postponement came as one of the judges supervising the case was absent for needing to take part in overseeing parliamentary elections.
Gamal and Alaa Mubarak, both board members at stock market-listed firms, along with seven officials from AlWatany Bank of Egypt, are facing charges of illicit gains from the sale of the bank. Gamal Mubarak is accused of amassing an illegal wealth worth of more than LE493 million.
Gamal and Alaa Mubarak were released from prison recently after serving a prison term over charges of misusing state funds allocated for the renovation of presidential palaces.
