US President Donald Trump said he will discuss with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday to annex parts of the West Bank to Israel.
Trump announced on Monday that there are “no guarantees” that the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas since he took office two weeks ago will remain in place.
“I have no guarantee that the peace will hold,” Trump told reporters at the White House on the eve of his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Sitting next to him, Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff said the truce, “Is holding so far and so we certainly hope that we can get the hostages out, save lives and hopefully get to a peaceful resolution of the whole situation.”
