Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced that Cairo is his second home, and refused accusations that Turkey is not doing enough about the Syrian crisis or the Islamic State.
Oglo said at a press conference held at the United Nations in New York, Thursday evening, on the sidelines of his visit to the United States: "Cairo is my second home. Turkey wants to see a strong and independent Egypt."
"Turkey respects the Egyptian people and respects Egypt's role in the region," he added.
"I am certain that Egypt will establish excellent relations with all countries, and Turkey does not impose anything on Egypt," Oglo added.
"Without Egypt there is no stability in the region. Turkey is interested in good relations with Egypt," he said.
Oglo mentioned that Turkey though does not recognize Abdel Fattah Sisi regime as legitimate, but hopes for a more tolerant climate in Egypt.
Turkey expects greater cooperation from the international community to face the repercussions of the Syrian crisis and the IS, according to Oglo.
