Hurghada prosecution ordered the remanding of two suspects, accused of killing a Swiss tourist and his wife, into custody for four days pending investigations.
The suspects were charged with premeditated murder and robbery and an autopsy report disclosing the reason of death was requested from the forensic doctor.
During investigations, the suspects admitted to murdering the tourist and his wife a week ago, hiding their bodies in a hole at the yard of their house and stealing electronic equipment, a laptop and contract of the villa ownership, according to investigations.
Public prosecution’s international cooperation office is following up on the investigations.
Red Sea security services had earlier arrested the second suspect, who was in possession of stolen items from the villa.
The Swiss embassy in Cairo has been notified of the suspects' arrest.
