Two train carriages from a modernized Spanish train derailed while passing through the al-Qararish level crossing in Luxor.
No injuries were reported among passengers or crew. Passengers were safely transferred to the remaining carriages where their well-being was confirmed.
The vehicle was immediately stopped upon noticing the partial derailment of the two carriages.
Railway teams arrived at the scene to begin a technical inspection and check the condition of the track to ensure its safety before service resumes.
The technical reasons for the derailment are currently being investigated. The necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safe and normal resumption of train service on the Aswan-Cairo line.
