UN official to visit Egypt Thursday to address sexual harassment

Assistant Secretary-General for Policy and Program of UN-Women Yannick Glemarec is scheduled to visit Egypt on Thursday as part of a UN program addressing sexual harassment.
 
Glemarec will inspect a number of projects carried out by UN-Women in the neighborhood Imbaba, as part of the UN project "Safe Cities" implemented in Egypt and over 30 other countries around the world.
 
The project aims to reduce the phenomenon of sexual harassment and other forms of violence in public places. It focuses on Cairo neighborhoods of Ezbet al-Hagana, Manshiet Nasser and Imbaba.
