A United Nations press release on Thursday announced that a man who has allegedly been posing as an ambassador at the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Cairo is in fact not an employee of the organization.
According to the press release, Ahmed Madkour has been posing as an ambassador on social media and participating in talks and lectures via a Club house account.
Madkour has alleged that he is a UN representative while stating his opinion on important political issues in Egypt, the statement read.
The UN denied any ties to Madkour, and rejected any violation, wrongdoing, or interference conducted under its name.
Moreover, the organization declared that any opinions or views of the UN are expressed in official media statements and on UN website and social media pages.
