The death toll from a heat wave overwhelming Egypt since yearly August has soared to 105 on Monday as eight more people died ,the Health Ministry said.
The number of heat exhaustion cases has exceeded 1,000, according to the ministry, which said that 500 of those had left hospital after receiving treatment.
Meteorologists are predicting that the heatwave will continue until the end of August, though the temperature will decrease moderately starting this week.
