U.S. Congress delegation arrives in Cairo for talks: source

A U.S. Congress delegation arrived in Cairo on Tuesday morning, headed by Anne Marie Chotvacs, Foreign Operations Subcommittee chief at the U.S. House of Representatives .

The delegation will meet with a number of Egyptian officials to discuss U.S. aid to Egypt as well as the roadmap, according to an official Egyptian source.
 
The source added that a package of U.S. aid has already been agreed on, during Secretary of State John Kerry's recent unannounced visit to Egypt.
 
The delegation will follow up on the roadmap, as well as preparations for a constitutional referendum and parliamentary and presidential elections next year, the source continued.
 
Representatives will report back to Congress on developments in Egypt on their return.
