The US dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound rose during Monday’s trading, by about 5 piasters, for the first increase after the Central Bank of Egypt’s decision to raise interest rates by 2 percent.
The price of the US dollar rose at the National Bank of Egypt, to reach LE 18.28 for purchase, and LE 18.34 for sale, compared to LE 18.23 for purchase, and LE 18.29 for sale.
And the price of the US dollar increased at the Suez Canal Bank, to reach LE 18.26 for purchase and LE 18.36 for sale, compared to LE 18.21 for purchase, and LE 18.31 for sale.
The price of the US dollar at the Bank of Alexandria jumped on Monday, to reach LE 18.29 for purchase, LE 18.36 for sale, compared to LE 18.24 for purchase, and LE 18.31 for sale.
The price of the US dollar also increased at the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, to reach LE 18.32 for purchase and LE 18.38 for sale instead of LE 18.25 for purchase, and LE 18.31 for sale.
