The Marvel superhero film “Venom: The Last Dance” topped the box office on Saturday, making nearly LE 1.38 million on its fourth day of release in Egypt, bringing its total revenues to LE 6.28 million.
Globally the movie achieved revenues of nearly US$94.8 million.
“Venom: The Last Dance” outperformed all competing films currently in cinemas, whether Egyptian or foreign, and marks the finale of the Vemon film series which first released in 2018.
The movie continues the journey of Eddie and his symbiotic alien partner Venom, who embark on a new adventure against a powerful foe that will shape their fate, forcing them in a race against time in an attempt to stop him.
It was filmed between the US, Spain and the United Kingdom, directed by British director Kelly Marcel, who wrote the screenplay for the first movie in 2018.
