Very hot weather expected on the 2nd day of Eid al-Adha

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects very hot weather in the north of the country to the southern Upper Egypt during Sunday, the second day of Eid al-Adha.

Temperatures will reach 37C in Cairo, but humidity and sunshine will cause temperatures to feel around 40C.

The atmosphere will be moderate and humid at night.


Temperatures rise throughout the days of Eid al-Adha

Meteorologists announced that the weather will remain stable during the days of Eid al-Adha, starting from Saturday until the end of this week.

The weather remains very hot throughout the day, moderate and humid weather at night.

The EMA urged citizens to stay out of direct sunlight.

Humidity continues to rise in all parts of the country, with humidity in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt is 85 percent during the night hours, and it is 40 percent during the daytime.

On the northern coasts, humidity is 95 percent at night and 55 percent during the daytime.

Humidity in the governorates of South Sinai is 60 percent at night, 25 percent during the daytime, 50 percent at night in the governorates of northern Upper Egypt, 25 percent during the day, 30 percent at night in the governorates of southern Upper Egypt, and 15 percent during the daytime.

North Coast: 34C

Northern Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt: 40C

South Sinai, Southern Upper Egypt: 42C


Morning mists on the roads

Meteorologists warned of mists until six in the morning on the roads leading to and from Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt and roads close to water bodies and agricultural roads.

The EMA called on motorists to be careful when driving due to low visibility during the early hours of the morning and for the safety of pedestrians and passengers.

Meteorologists advised citizens to wear light cotton clothes, not to be exposed to direct sunlight, drink fluids regularly, avoid sitting in closed and poorly ventilated places, and follow up on weather forecasts issued by EMA on a daily basis.
