Video: Egypt honors Salah for winning 3rd Golden Boot in the English Premier League

Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Football Association honored Egyptian Liverpool FC striker Mohamed Salah on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium before the kickoff of Egypt’s match against Guinea in AFCON qualifiers 2023.

The 29-year-old star received a medal and a cup.

Salah was crowned with the Golden Boot award for the Premier League in the current season 2021-2022, which came to an end on May 22, after he topped the list of top scorers in the English Premier League.

Salah is the top scorer in the English Premier League this season with 23 goals, equal only to Heung-Min Son, Tottenham Hotspur star, at the conclusion of the Premier League competitions.

The Egyptian star was crowned the English Premier League top scorer twice in his career, beginning the 2017-2018 season with 32 goals.

Salah also won the Premier League top scorer award in the 2018-2019 season, after scoring 22 goals equal with the duo Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The football superstar won the Premier League Golden Boot for the third time in his football career, and finished the season at the top of the player with the most goals in the English Premier League with 13 assists.
