Video: Egyptian-Saudi army exercise ‘Piercing Arrow 2024’ concludes

The joint Egyptian-Saudi army exercise “Piercing Arrow 2024” concluded on Sunday with the participation of Egyptian and Saudi armed forces.

The training was implemented this month within the scope of the Southern Military Region and the Southern Fleet’s theater of operations in the Red Sea in Egypt, with the participation of a number of friendly countries as observers.

The final phase of the training witnessed the implementation of a friendship jump by Egyptian and Saudi paratroopers.

The ground forces and Special Forces, supported by the air forces, carried out an operation to storm and control a terrorist hotbed, and carried out typical and non-typical shootings that demonstrated their accuracy and skill in hitting targets from a fixed position and from movement.

Naval forces, in cooperation with the air forces participating in the training, carried out a storming operation on one of the coastal islands, where parachute forces parachuted to occupy the beach head security centers, and the naval Special Forces carried out raids on the island’s coast.

The training included the implementation of naval activities, including drills on the right to visit and search, training on searching for enemy submarines, and carrying out artillery fire on a surface target, which reflected the high skill in destroying enemy targets.

The final stage was attended by Lieutenant General Fahd bin Saud Al-Jahni, Chief of Staff of the Saudi Land Forces, Major General Walid Hamouda Awad, Assistant Minister of Defense and Commander of the Southern Military Region, and leaders of the Egyptian and Saudi armed forces.
